Exploring Agroforestry and Nature Crafts

This immersive experience offers guided tours of our agroforestry farm and market garden, interactive nature-based craft sessions, and hands-on learning about ecological farming practices.
Highlights:
• Guided Farm Tours: Explore our diverse agroforestry systems and market garden. Learn about sustainable farming, permaculture principles, and ecological growing methods. Guided tours are scheduled at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM and require pre-booking due to limited spaces. You can book by clicking here.
• Nature-Based Craft Workshops: Engage in creative sessions crafting with natural materials sourced directly from our farm. Activities include weaving, leaf printing, and more, suitable for all ages.
• Pick-Your-Own Produce: Experience the joy of harvesting your own fresh fruits and vegetables. Our team will guide you through the process, sharing tips on selection and sustainable harvesting.
• Self-Guided Nature Trails: Wander at your own pace with provided maps, discovering the rich biodiversity and scenic beauty of our farm and its surroundings.

Under the guidance of experienced children's practitioner Elsie and forest school leader Josh of Sisters in Green, kids are encouraged to embrace their wild sides, explore nature, learn about wildlife & have a blast outdoors.
Activities include nature walks, animal encounters, and hands-on learning experiences including bushcraft, campfire cooking, tool use and supervised animal encounters. It's the perfect opportunity for little ones to connect with the wild and make new friends.
The sessions cater for children aged 5 to 11 and are carefully planned to help children develop new skills in a structured yet exciting environment. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and learn new skills alongside others.

In Summer 2025 we will be hosting our first Community Feasts in the Field at Higher Barn Farm. Guests will be invited to enjoy a delicious and nutritious dining experience in a beautiful natural setting within our agroforestry market garden in the foothills of Exmoor National Park. Offerings will include a thoughtful selection of seasonal dishes showcasing fresh produce from the farm, along with other locally and ethically sourced products that highlight the best of our area. Curated by Amer, classically trained chef and now lead farmer and co-founder of With the Wild CIC, the menus will reflect his extensive culinary experience while blending his dual passions for nutritious cooking and ecological growing. We hope you’ll join us for an evening of nourishing food, interesting conversation, and the beauty of nature.
