We would be delighted to collaborate with you to create a visit tailored to your students’ educational needs and interests.
We warmly invite all types of groups to explore our farm and experience its unique offerings. Our tours can be customised to align with your group's specific interests—whether you prefer a comprehensive overview of our operations or a deeper exploration of particular elements, such as permaculture, agroforestry, or our vibrant market garden. In addition to the hands-on learning experience, participants will have the opportunity to engage with our knowledgeable founder Cerys, who will share insights and answer any questions. We look forward to sharing our passion for regenerative farming with you. Please get in touch with any questions you may have, and to book.
Our Agroforestry Farm Tours invite visitors to discover the benefits of combining trees and crops in farming practices at Higher Barn farm. Explore our agroforestry smallholding in the foothills of Exmoor National Park with Cerys Dehaini (Architect, Smallholder, and Permaculture Designer). Cerys shares the knowledge and experience she has gained so far through setting up various agroforestry systems on her family's 20 acre site. Tours provide valuable insights on how we can all engage with sustainable agriculture and local food systems and how planting trees can give us hope for the future.
Enjoy a valuable insight into Permaculture - a holistic agricultural and land management design approach that attempts to mimic patterns found in natural ecosystems to reduce waste, prevent pollution, maximize sustainability, protect wildlife, and improve the land's resiliency and biodiversity. Nestled in the picturesque foothills of Exmoor National Park, Higher Barn Farm serves as the perfect backdrop for this inspiring and informative experience. Led by Cerys Dehaini—an Architect, Smallholder, and Permaculture Designer—this workshop delves into the core principles of permaculture. Cerys will share her journey of designing and implementing a permaculture design at Higher Barn Farm, offering practical insights for attendees to take away and implement in their own settings.
